Victoria Symphony Splash ~ August 3, 2008
Bayview Residences Victoria Symphony Splash is the largest annual symphony event in North America, attracting up to 40,000 Victoria residents and visitors. The unique setting for the performance is on a barge moored in Victoria's Inner Harbour, in front of the picturesque Provincial Legislature. Bayview Residences Victoria Symphony Splash appeals to audiences of all ages; the music performed is a mix of classical and popular selections, and a talented young soloist is featured each year with the assistance of the Leslie and Murray Glazier Young Musicians Fund.The concert concludes with a performance of Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture, complete with bells, cannons and fireworks. This finale is presented by WestJet!

In August, Halifax's beautiful and historic 1 km Waterfront features the hilarious, wacky, and breathtaking entertainment that can only be found at the Annual Halifax International Busker Festival. Based on the simple and pure art of busking, 26 of the world's top street performance acts showcased their unique talent and skills in an un gated setting.
For 11 days, the Busker Festival features over 700 performances on seven outdoor stages. As an all ages event, the Busker Festival had activities for everyone's tastes children's interactive village, body art, delicious food, beer tent, and much, much more. |
