About WestJet's Sponsorship Program

Sponsoring events, programs or organizations is just one of the ways that WestJet supports the communities we serve. From supporting amateur athletes to participating in festival style events across the country, WestJet takes a partnership approach with each sponsorship relationship. And in true WestJet fashion, we like to have a bit of fun while doing so.

We've picked a select group of sponsorship partners to work with in 2008. We hope to make a difference with each project through funding and employee volunteerism while also benefiting from the marketing opportunities that each partnership offers. So it won't be unusual if you see a group of WestJetters involved in an event or project near you.

You may be involved with an event, program or organization that you would like WestJet to partner with through sponsorship and are wondering how to express your interest. At WestJet, we use an on-line request tool that allows you to tell us about your project in a way that puts you on a level playing field by requesting the same type of information from everyone. It also allows us to make more effective and timely decisions regarding the large volume of requests we receive each year. Bringing People and Celebration Together

At WestJet, we take fun seriously - which is why we are excited about another great season for our Fun n' Festival series! Fun is an important aspect of our culture at WestJet, so it only makes sense that we would partner with some of the best festivals from coast to coast. Whether it be cracking up at Just For Laughs, giddy'ing on up to a rodeo at the Calgary Stampede, sipping merlot at the Okanagan Wine Festivals or juggling fire on the harbourfront at Halifax International Busker Festival, WestJet will be there - and we hope you will join us!

Supporting Canadian Athletes

Alpine Canada Alpin

Canada boasts many of the greatest mountains on the planet and plays host to skiers from around the world as they compete to represent their nation. Many young Canadian athletes ski to pursue their dream of competing to achieve their personal best. At WestJet, we believe that these dreams deserve to be supported - which is why we have partnered with Alpine Canada Alpin and each of Canada's Provincial Ski Organizations to support Canada's Men's, Women's and Disabled Alpine Ski Teams through to 2010. Since WestJet flies to many of these great ski destinations, we have been able to connect these talented athletes from home, to training site to competition and back.
